Some final thoughts on the polling, the press; disregard them, Paladino can win, stay your course and get out the vote.

All favoring Dems & Downstate … We’ll see!

Rochester Business Journal Snap Poll: If the 2010 election for governor were held Friday, whom would you vote for? Andrew Cuomo (Democratic, Independence, Working Families): 45% Carl Paladino (Republican, Conservative, Taxpayers): 42% Warren Redlich (Libertarian): 7% Jimmy McMillan (Rent is 2 Damn High): 3% Howie Hawkins (Green): 2% Kristin Davis (Anti-Prohibition): 1% Charles Barron (Freedom): less than 1%. ###

Among likely voters including early voters and those who are undecided yet leaning toward a candidate, Democrat Andrew Cuomo has a 19 percentage point lead over Republican Carl Paladino in the race for Governor in New York. Cuomo receives 56% to Paladino’s 37%.  This Marist Poll data was collected from Tuesday, October 26, 2010 through Thursday, October 28, 2010 with 5 days until Election Day. …

Democrat Andrew Cuomo‘s lead over Republican Carl Paladino, has grown considerably over the past month, according to a scientific poll commissioned by 2 On Your Side.  The New York State gubernatorial race poll shows Cuomo with 55% of the vote. Paladino has 33%.  The poll was conducted by Survey USA, an independent tracking firm. They surveyed 544 likely voters in Tuesday’s election. There is a 4.3% margin of error. …

UPDATE: “New York State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo tops Republican Carl Paladino 55 – 35 percent in the governor’s race, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday. Another 7 percent are undecided and 11 percent of those who name a candidate say they might change their mind before Election Day.”
Like Siena & Marist one cannot take these results seriously. The poll has a democratic & downstate bias. Truth is in this case the only poll that matters will be taken on election day! …

If Cuomo is sooo far ahead why is he spending so much money & why is he going so negative 10 days before the election? Answer: Cuomo is not that far ahead. I believe this race is between 8-12% right now if that. I cannot predict a Paladino victory at this point; but I can write with certainty this race will be close.

Sidebar: YNN Lizzie Borden Benjamin, with respect to the Gov’s race, is becoming as unprofessional & biased as the NY Post’s Fred Dick…er. If Lizzie wasn’t a journalist she would be lobbying for GLBT & or NARL; Lizzie is that liberal.
The Siena  Institute (polling) Steve Greenberg & Marist’s  Dr. Lee M. Miringoff would be lobbying for the same causes absolutely no doubt.

Illuzzi: UPDATE: Please recall readers I wrote that the Siena & Marist polls had to be way off with respect to Blanks (non affiliates). Both poll results showing Cuomo ahead in that category.
The Rasmussen survey also found that Non-affiliated voters prefer Paladino by a 2-1 margin. There  are 2.3M Blanks in NYS. That pretty much mitigates the Democratic overlay in the state should the Blanks come out in high numbers for Paladino on election day. However, there is something really – really wrong here with respect to both the Siena & Marist numbers. Lets wait until election day to determine whether an investigation by the AG is required. …
The Rasmussen poll is more in line with my thinking. Cuomo is stuck in the very low 50 percentile meaning the race remains competitive. Albeit, if turnout upstate mimics that of primary day the election is with 6-8% right now, keeping mind the GOP turnout on election day, if this scenario holds true, will be between 60-80%. I expect a low democratic turnout.
The other problem is Siena & to an extent the Marist polls are fraudulent. The Siena  poll held the headlines for two days impeding the Paladino’s ability to raise money & be taken more seriously within the final two weeks of the campaign. The Marist poll also favors democrats & downstate.
Please NOTE as of this posting Lizzie Benjamin YNN, Dick…er the NY Post, NY Daily News & the Buffalo News have not reported the Rasmussen result, while posting Siena & Marist within five minutes after those polls were made public. Just an absolute disgrace! ###
The biggest loser this cycle the NYS Press Corp. Just a disgusting display of bias & malfeasance, esp. the NY Post Fred Dick…er.
