PALADINO KNOCKS CUOMO FOR ATTACKING VETERANS
“Bottom line: I served my country and Andrew didn’t”

(BUFFALO, NY) – Buffalo builder Carl Paladino, candidate for Governor of New York, knocked his opponent Andrew Cuomo for attacking his military service record.

“I served my country faithfully for ten years; Andrew Cuomo never served,” said Paladino. “With his comments, Andrew denigrates the selfless commitment of all the men and women who have served our nation.”

“Cuomo’s comments are an insult to every New York veteran,” said Paladino. “We served – where were you, Andrew?”

“I’m proud of my decade of service in the United States Army,” said Paladino. “I will not be Blumenthal-ized by the Cuomo attack machine.”

“This is just another pathetic attack by Cuomo lapdog Fred Dicker of the New York Post, who lives to twist words,” Paladino said. “There is nothing to be ashamed of in my military record. Bottom line: I served my country and Andrew didn’t.”

SGT BELLAVIA: CUOMO WAY OUT OF LINE CRITICIZING CARL
Decorated Army vet says “Cuomo the career politician must apologize”

(BUFFALO, NY) – Decorated Army Staff Sergeant David Bellavia today hit back at career Albany politician Andrew Cuomo for insulting “all veterans for his cynical political aspirations.”

“When Andrew Cuomo belittled Carl Paladino’s service to our country, he was way out of line and he offended all military veterans in New York,” Bellavia said. “Cuomo never had the guts to serve in our nation’s military yet he is quick to insult all veterans for his cynical political aspirations.”

“Carl Paladino joined the military in college, determined to serve our nation when he was in his teenage years,” Bellavia said. “He served honorably on active duty and as a Captain in the Army reserves – a commander of men who trained soldiers for war.”

“In stark contrast, Andrew Cuomo felt above military service and instead chose to join the reeking ranks of the Albany elite,” Bellavia said “His disdain for the military came clear today, and Cuomo the career politician must apologize to all men and women who served and are serving our nation.”

ABOUT DAVID BELLAVIA
David Bellavia is a former U.S. Army Staff Sergeant who served in the 1st Infantry Division (Task Force 2-2). BERNTSEN: CUOMO NEVER SERVED HIS COUNTRY
“Andrew Cuomo wouldn’t know a salute from Shinola”

(BUFFALO, NY) – Retired CIA officer and Air Force veteran Gary Berntsen, former candidate for US Senate, today slammed Andrew Cuomo for maligning Carl Paladino’s service to our nation in the United States Army.

“Carl Paladino served honorably as an officer on active duty in the US Army and the US Army reserves,” Berntsen said. “There is no disputing that he commanded his unit on active duty and trained hundreds of troops as a Captain in the Army Reserves.”

“Instead of serving our nation in the military, Andrew Cuomo chose instead to join the ranks of Career Albany politicians and run his father’s dirty campaign for governor,” Berntsen said. “This infuriates New York veterans who now understand completely that Andrew Cuomo wouldn’t know a salute from Shinola.”

“Andrew Cuomo made a huge mistake, because when he attacks the honorable military service of one of us, he attacks all of us,” Berntsen said. “I’m contacting all of New York’s veteran organizations to assure they understand Cuomo has attacked all our veterans of active and reserve military service.”

VETS FOR NEW YORK DEFEND PALADINO MILITARY RECORD; CALLS CUOMO UNPATRIOTIC

Vets for New York, an organization which supports veterans running for public office in New York State, called Andrew Cuomo unpatriotic for his baseless attack on Carl Paladino’s military record.

“Andrew Cuomo never served his Country and doesn’t know the understanding of giving of himself for a greater cause. His attack on Carl Paladino, who answered his Country’s call, is unpatriotic,” said Kieran Michael Lalor, Founder of Vets for NY.

“Carl Paladino served his Country honorably as an officer in the US Army and the US Army reserves. He commanded his unit on active duty and trained hundreds of troops as a Captain in the Army Reserves. Anyone with basic military knowledge would understand this, so it’s obvious why Andrew Cuomo doesn’t get it,” Lalor continued.

“After years of electing self-serving politicians, New Yorkers would be wise to put their faith in men who have given selflessly to their country,” Lalor concluded.

Vets For New York is a political action committee supporting conservative Republican veterans running for local, county, state and federal office in the Empire State. Vets For New York was founded by Kieran Michael Lalor, an attorney and Marine Corps veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Vets For New York looks for conservative Republican veterans who are determined to become a voice for our troops, veterans and hardworking New Yorkers who believe in limited government, free enterprise and traditional values.
