Stop G.E.N.D.A. in NY

June 6, 2010

GENDA a/k/a the Bathroom Bill in NY returning for a vote –

Help needed Tue, 6/8

What is Bathroom Bill? From NYCF:
This bill would prohibit discrimination against anyone on the basis of their “gender identity or expression”, in the areas of employment, housing, or public accommodations.

GENDA would open all public accommodations, including restrooms, high school locker rooms, health clubs, dorm rooms and other single sex residential
facilities like homeless and family violence shelters to both biological
genders dependent upon how a person chooses to self-identify.

Any man could legally gain access to facilities reserved for women and girls simply by indicating, verbally or non-verbally, that he inwardly feels female at the moment.

This is real, folks…I participated in battling it 5 yrs ago when it was called Local Law B.

Received this in my email today from Stephen Hayword of Association of Politically Active Christians of New York:

…our friends at New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms (NYCF) are asking for help to lobby against the Bathroom Bill this Tuesday, June 8 at the Capitol in Albany. The bill is scheduled to come up for a vote that day in the Senate Judiciary Committee at 10:00 A.M. in
Room 124 of the Capitol. Rev. Jason McGuire is inviting Christians with
daytime availability (unfortunately, this does not include me) [unfortunately, not me this time around either] to
prayerfully consider joining him at that time to demonstrate opposition
to this proposal. To RSVP, or for more information, please contact Rev.
McGuire directly via e-mail (jason@nyfrf.org) or phone (585-734-2199); please let
him know that you heard about this from APAC. Ladies are especially
encouraged to participate.

For more background about the Bathroom Bill, or to contact your state senator, please see http://www.capwiz.com/nycf/issues/alert/?alertid=13207556 or http://www.apacny.net/APAC2010GENDA.pdf

Also, please note that the NYCF weekly prayer breakfast and Bible study is held each Tuesday morning at 8:00 AM in Room 711A of the Legislative Office Building. Participants in the
demonstration are welcome to attend the Bible study this Tuesday morning as
well.

Thanks in advance for anything you can do.

In Christ,
Stephen Hayford
